Some advertise the 2A13 cam followers as heavy duty but these are just a budget flat bottomed type for low performance or standard use only.Never replace a camshaft without installing new cam followers and using 2A13EVO or original alternative is advised and always use a coating of EP90 or cam lube. The follower base is very complex and contrary to popular belief the surface should not be flat, but a convex dome so that it rotates as it goes up and down. This is the standard chilled iron follower less an oil hole and weighs about 45.00 grams. If you require the original type with an oil hole see AEG584 or 2A13EVO without the oil hole, as both have the original convex base radii as deigned by Rover and made originally by Clanceys and by AE Hepolite the famous engine component manufacturer for the A series engine.
