Steering Column Upper Bush All Models Pre Airbag

- Plastic upper bush that should be replaced when you have play between the inner and outer steering column. Remember to change the bottom as well whether it be felt or plastic type.
Steering Column Lower Plastic Bush ‘85 On

- Small split white plastic bush for lower steering column from 1985-96 pre air bag models. Always change the plastic upper bush GSV1095 as well when you do this job.
Steering Column Lower Felt Bush to 1985

- Do not forget to replace the top plastic bush GSV1095 when replacing this lower felt type bush. From 1985 Rover changed to a plastic bush NAM8563 on the bottom with a different outer steering column shroud.

Steering Cowl 1976–1997

- plastic 2 piece casing for the steering wheel cowl was introduced in 1976 which was for the introduction of twin indicator stalks and a different steering lock. Twin point injection cars have different cowling and switches.

- Large steering wheel nut for all pre air bag models, and a shakeproof washer 53K3480 must be fitted for safety reasons.1 5/16" spanner size 1.3125" wide (33mm).
Steering Wheel Shakeproof Washer

- All steering wheels pre air bag (twinpoint injection cars 1997 on) should have this shakeproof washer fitted under the large securing nut (ACH6001) and should be replaced every time the wheel is removed.
