The GigaTech Electronic Ignition System has proven itself as one of the best and most reliable systems around specifically for vehicles whose engines use the points and condenser ignition on a 12V negative earth system. (6V applications are available by special order)
The benefits of installing the GigaTech electronic ignition module with paired performance ignition coil, include increased performance and reduced fuel consumption, a smoother running engine from low RPM right to the top ranges, easier starting and less/negligible wear to the points, while keeping the OEM distributor so as to maintain correct intended advance curve meant for your engine.
Easy to install with its 4-wire plug and play arrangement, and whilst the points are retained, points now act as a “pulse trigger” having an extremely low trigger current. The points will function for many millions of cycles without any appreciable wear. (the gap being set as per the manufacturers’ specification), the condenser is discarded, (take care to replace any insulation washers in the order of removal).
The kit is delivered with full easy to follow fitment instructions, cables long enough for a choice of mounting locations, (preferably in the coolest under bonnet area),perfect to dress up any engine bay or mount out of sight for that ultra original look, as well as a selection of connection terminals and inline fuse surge protection. The built-in static timing indicator LED also aids in the setting of ignition timing when a inductive stroboscopic timing light is not at hand.
